Best of The Beach Boys - For Bass

In 1963, the Beach Boys had their first hit with "Surfin' U.S.A.", beginning a string of top 10 singles that celebrated the southern California youth culture of surfing, fast cars, beaches, and romance, dubbed as the "California Sound".

Distinguished by their vocal harmonies, teen-oriented themes, and musical creativity, they became one of the most influential acts of the early rock era. They were one of the few American bands to carry success through the British invasion.

The bass lines transcribed in this book were performed by the following musicians:

Carol Kaye, Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, Ray Pohlman, Lyle Ritz, and Rod Clark.

Here are bass lines to 12 of the Beach Boys' most memorable hits.

Standard notation and TAB.
