Christmas Wrapping - The Waitresses

Christmas Wrapping is a Christmas song by the American new wave band, the Waitresses. Initially released in 1981 on a Christmas compilation, the track was re-released in 1982 on a band's EP and featured on various other holiday compilation albums.

The band's bassist, Tracy Wormworth, drew inspiration from Bernard Edwards' catchy bassline in Chic's recently launched 'Good Times.'

Originally released as a single by Island Records in the UK in 1981, 'Christmas Wrapping' didn't initially make the charts. However, upon its reissue in 1982, it climbed to No. 45 on the UK Singles Chart that December. It has been the Waitresses' highest-charting single in the UK.
