Tool is an American rock band hailing from Los Angeles. Formed in 1990, the group consists of vocalist Maynard James Keenan, guitarist Adam Jones, drummer Danny Carey, and bassist Justin Chancellor who joined the band in 1995, following the departure original bass player and founding member Paul D’Amour.
Tool’s music defies easy categorization, blending elements of alternative metal, art rock, post-metal, progressive metal, and progressive rock.
